Dezeen showroom: British furniture maker James Burleigh has created the Jenson Room Divider, which has been designed to offer an eye-catching solution to splitting up home or office spaces.
The Jenson Room Divider features a long credenza topped by a gridded system of open shelves.
Objects can be tucked away in the cupboards, while plant pots, books and ornaments can be displayed on the shelves above, allowing the credenza to serve as an eye-catching alternative to solid walls or partitions.
In celebration of natural materials, James Burleigh has used wood veneer to make the majority of the room divider – just the surface top of the credenza and the shelves have been lined with black laminate.
The mortise tenon joints used to connect the shelving of the room divider are also intended to highlight the brand's craftsmanship-focused production process. Cupboards have been finished with push-touch catches and special scissor hinges.
