3Novices:CPI (M) under Yechury seeks to influence govt. agenda

Vizag, Apr. 20 (ANI): Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury, who was elevated to the post of general secretary on Sunday, stated that under his leadership, the party would 'champion' the ideals of the people as well as influence the agenda of the government. "Our priority will be how to move forward on the basis of the economic policies [of the BJP government at the Centre] that are imposing greater burden on the people and the communal ideology that is dividing the country and the people," Yechury told the media.
