3Novices:CAG pulls up Chhattisgarh forest department for losses of Rs 39.10 crores in Naxal areas

The Comptroller and Auditor General has pulled up the Chhattisgarh Forest Department of “lack of planning”, which not only resulted in loss of revenue of Rs 39.10 crores but also depletion of 1.91 lakh hectares of valuable bamboo forest in the Naxal affected districts of Bastar, Bijapur and Dantewada.
