3Novices:Bird flu outbreak jolts Telangana

Scrambling to contain the spread of the highly pathogenic H5N1 bird flu virus, the Telangana government on Tuesday ordered the immediate culling of 1.45 lakh chicken in poultry farms located in a one kilometre radius of the infected farm in Thorrur village of Hayathnagar mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
