3Novices:UP govt plan for power too ambitious

UP government claim to spike up the power availability to 21000 MW by 2016 may turn out to be a much tougher task. According to sources in the UPPCL the availability may barely increase by around 3000 MW, from the existing 14,000 Mw, in what could trouble UP government ambitious plan to supply 16 hours power supply to the rural and 24 hours to the urban areas before the next assembly elections.
