New Delhi, Mar. 2 (ANI): National Panthers Party (NPP) chief Bhim Singh on Monday called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond to the ongoing controversy surrounding Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's remark, where he crediting Pakistan for peaceful elections in the state. Congress leader Saifuddin Soz said that Mufti's assessment was misplaced and it was victory for the democracy. "The entire credit must go to people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission of India and to democracy. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said, "We would like to credit the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our security forces and the Election Commission for the historic elections." Mufti, who took oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister yesterday, stoked had a controversy by stating that the Hurriyat, Pakistan and militants had allowed a conducive atmosphere for the assembly polls in the state.
